For years, West Baltimore had endured the challenge brought by division and disinvestment. At RCWBC, we're changing that story-together. Our projects focus on strengthening community voice, improving transportation, and driving economic development, all in alignment with the Justice 40 Initiative.

Equitable Transportation

Access to safe, reliable, and affordable transportation is essential for opportunity and mobility.

  • Transit Equity Initiatives - Working to Improve public transit access and infrastructure along the U.S. 40 corridor.

  • Reconnecting Neighborhoods ​- Exploring solutions to mitigate the effects of the "Highway to Nowhere" and restore community connectivity.

Climate Equity

A thriving community plans, invests, and grows in ways to protect their people and environment impartially. ​

  • Environmental Justice - equitable distribution of both the burdens of climate change and the efforts to mitigate climate change through advocacy and policy change

Economic Development

Building generational wealth starts with opportunities for business ownership and financial empowerment.

  • Small Business Training & Support - Providing resources, workshops, and mentorship for local entrepreneurs.

  • Access to Capital - Connecting business owners with funding and affordable loans to help them succeed.  

Workforce Development

Empowering residents with the tools, training, and resources to grow businesses, build wealth, and create lasting change.
